History of Cotton Candy
Cotton candy dates back over 300 years ago, but has not always been as easy to make as it is now.
Before the invention of cotton candy machine, the way of making cotton candy was to melt sugar in a pan and then use a fork to make strings of sugar. The sugar would then dry in strings and be served as a dessert.
Cotton candy made one of its first world appearances in 1900 at the Paris Exposition and then again in 1904 at the St. Louis World Fair.
At the time it was called Fairy Floss or spun sugar, cotton candy was a new name given in 1920.
Today, cotton candy is well-know and sold all over the world.
